Protocol Checklists Overview
Learn how Protocol Checklists help organize, assign, and track protocol-related activities throughout the protocol lifecycle.
What are Protocol Checklists?
Protocol Checklists in Vestigo allow users to create and track a series of steps associated with a protocol. Checklist steps can be assigned to Vestigo users, given due dates, marked as completed, and supported with related documents. Checklists are available client-wide and can be used for Study Start-Up, Audit Preparation, Amendments, and Protocol Close Out activities.

Common Uses for Checklists
Protocol Checklists can be used to organize and track activities throughout the protocol lifecycle. Common uses include coordinating Study Start-Up, preparing for audits, managing tasks related to protocol amendments, and documenting Protocol Close Out activities. Checklist steps can be assigned to specific Vestigo users, given due dates, supported with related documents, and tracked through completion.
Client-wide Availability
Protocol Checklists are a client-wide feature and are available regardless of individual facility settings. Once checklist steps are configured, they can be used to create checklists directly within protocols or added to Checklist Templates for reuse. User access to checklist features is controlled through the appropriate administrative and protocol permissions.
Checklist Types
Vestigo includes four checklist types that help organize protocol-related activities:
- Study Start-Up: Tracks steps associated with preparing and activating a protocol.
- Audit Preparation: Organizes tasks and documentation needed for audit preparation.
- Amendments: Tracks activities related to protocol amendments.
- Protocol Close Out: Organizes the steps required when closing a protocol.
The selected checklist type determines which configured checklist steps are available to add to a protocol checklist or Checklist Template.
