[**Back to the Order Build Overview**](https://vestigohelp.mccreadiegroup.com/en/knowledgebase/protocol-order-build-overview?hsLang=en)   The final Order Build settings support label configuration, operational tracking, billing, and dispensing documentation. These options allow sites to customize barcode values, record workload metrics, track costs, apply dispensing fees, and attach protocol-specific documents that can be accessed during dispensing. Proper configuration of these settings helps streamline workflows, support reporting and billing processes, and ensure users have access to the resources they need throughout the dispensing process. ![](https://vestigohelp.mccreadiegroup.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-02-2026-01-54-47-9933-AM.png?width=866&height=520&name=image-png-Oct-02-2026-01-54-47-9933-AM.png)     ### Required permissions **ProtocolSnapshot** - Ability to view the Summary page of a Protocol (Protocol Snapshot). Required for all other protocol view permissions. **ProtocolManagement** - Protocol Management **EditProtocolDrugsOrders** - Drug management for a protocol     ### Default Label This is the default dispensing label template for the order. This will default to the facility default label, but can be changed. Sites may have one dispensing template or multiples, but you will want to ensure the correct one is used for this order. Once a label template is set, users can use the Print Sample Label link to generate a label for this order build using the default order settings. For more information regarding labels, please see our [Getting Started with Vestigo](https://vestigohelp.mccreadiegroup.com/en/knowledgebase/getting-started-with-vestigo-labels?hsLang=en) Labels article. **Note** - Edits to the dispensing label do not change historical prescriptions. If the dispense was processed while the order was set to the incorrect label, it will always print that label, even on reprints. Users would need to void the dispense, modify the order template and reprocess the dispense for the correct label.   ### Bar Code for Label This optional field allows users to specify the value that will be encoded in the barcode printed on the dispensing label. It is commonly used when label templates are configured to display user-entered barcode values and can support workflows such as Dispense Prep and integration with EHR systems. Site labels must be configured to show this field. **Note** - Edits to the Bar Code for Label do not change historical prescriptions.   ### Dispensing Workload This optional field can be used to track time-based workload associated with dispensing activities. When configured, the defined workload value is recorded each time the order is dispensed. Users can add multiple workloads if needed. For additional information on workload tracking, please refer to the [Workload](https://vestigohelp.mccreadiegroup.com/en/knowledgebase/vestigo-workload-overview?hsLang=en)article. **Note** - Edits to the Dispensing Workload do not change or add workload to historical prescriptions.   ### Dispensing Fee Dispensing fee(s) will be charged each time a new prescription or new refill is entered using that order. A dispensing fee is per prescription and not per dose or inventory dispensed. An order may have multiple fees, if necessary. ![](https://vestigohelp.mccreadiegroup.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-02-2026-01-57-20-4867-AM.png?width=857&height=473&name=image-png-Oct-02-2026-01-57-20-4867-AM.png) The fee(s) does not charge for prescription edits, verifications or second verifications, however edits may update a pending charge if the service date is updated. Users must select the fee name(s), fee amount, and billing account to charge. For the frequency setting, On Dispense means the fee is recorded on each dispense. If the Daily Dispense frequency is chosen, the fee will only charge the fee name once per patient, once per day, and once per protocol. This means that if you dispense multiple orders at each visit and each order is using the same fee name, the charge will only drop once to the to be billed status. All other charges will still show, but will appear as unbillable due to the daily dispense fee setting Users can also choose to Block fee updates for this fee and any updates from the billing fees will not update this order dispense fee. ###### Edits and Fee Deletion Every order must have a dispensing fee, even if your site doesn’t utilize Vestigo Billing. If you added the wrong fee, you will be unable to delete the incorrect fee until you add a new fee. Once there are two fees associated with a order, the delete option becomes available.   ### Track Cost If checked, you can enter the cost impact, and category to track the cost impact. The cost impact will appear on Drug Cost Avoidance report under Billing Management \> Reports. **Note** - Edits to the Track Cost settings do not change historical prescriptions.   ### Default Chain of Custody Workflow This setting is only visible if your site has contracted for [Chain of Custody](https://vestigohelp.mccreadiegroup.com/en/knowledgebase/chain-of-custody-not-final?hsLang=en).
